On July 15, 2014 at approximately 10:15 a.m., a tandem-trailer carrying dry sand hit the falsework of the Perris Boulevard overcrossing that spans northbound Interstate 215. The incident required a full closure of northbound I-215 at State Route 74/4th Street. This closure allowed crews to clear wood, steel beams, rebar and other materials from the site. The northbound I-215 lanes were reopened on July 16, 2014 at approximately 5:30 a.m.
