What is the Process for the South I‑215 Project?

Transportation projects have many phases that are required by law before they can be implemented. The South I‑215 Project Study Report was completed in December 2006. A Project Report and environmental technical reports were completed to help the project obtain approval throught the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in late 2008.

The next step in the process was final engineering design, which began in early 2009. Construction will begin in early 2011 and take about 16 months to complete.
